Month 1(Basic Module):Getting acquainted with Microsoft Excel

• Becoming more familiar with the Excel User Interface
• Learn the basic Excel Mathematical Formulas and Functions.
• Explore advanced Excel toolsfor data analysis and visualization.
• Introduction to Statistics in Excel.

Month 2 (Intermediate Module): Relational Database

• Creating a Database,identify various data types inSQL.
• Work with databases, tables, learn SQL basics , BasicQueries.
• Understanding MySQLconstraints such the Primary Key, and ForeignKey.
• Learn various SQL statementslike SELECT, INSERT,and UPDATE.

Month 3 (Advanced Module):

• Create an interactive and engaging PowerBI dashboards.
• Learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of a data visualization.
• Design a responsive and attractive dashboard using Power BI Desktop.

Learn the Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile for collaboration.

• Collaborate on a final project, applying the skills learned throughout the course.

Course Outcome

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Build a solid understanding of the Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
• Analyze discrete data and structured data using Excel.
• Summarize and represent data visually using graphs, charts, and pivot tables.
• Source, validate, clean, store and query data and perform data analysis.
• Create data dashboards; visualizations using Power BI.
• Shape datasets, load to data model for business forecasting and predictive analytics.
• Apply story-telling techniques using data to engage with stakeholders and help in data based business decision-making.
• Learn a Relational Database, SQL Basics, And Basic Queries.
• Develop proficiency in the three levels of filters in Power BI: report, page, and visual.
• Work on a collaborative monthly project that showcasestheir analytical skills.
• Complete a project including Business understanding, Data Preparation, Data Analysis and Present Insights.
